Redstone
This is my primary server which runs a lot of my non-"production critical" services, as of writing this there are about 70 Docker containers and other processes running roughly 30 to 40 services.
A lot of components in this server were re-purposed from my computer when it came to upgrade it.
Component | Info |
---|---|
Operating System | Ubuntu 22.04 LTS |
Motherboard | ASRock A320M-S2H |
CPU | AMD Ryzen 3 1300X (4) @ 3.5 GHz |
GPU | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti |
Memory | 32gb Corsair Vengeance @ 3200 MHz |
When the server was originally built, I put it in a cardboard box, these days it's in metal desk drawers held together by cardboard, lego and blu tack. I've looked at different case offerings online but haven't found anything I want yet.
Layer Deconstruction
Below are pictures of the individual layers of the server.

The cardboard on the left and right are to keep the next layer up stable.
This PSU is actually from an even older computer,
it was full of dust when I was re-purposed it for the server.

Vibrations? What vibrations?
(the disk in the top left is new as of 19th of June 2022)

Self-explanatory.
I also recently added the breadboard because I got fed up in aiming for the right contact on the pins.
